I realize it's bothering people to have to wait so long for their character to be born.  Honestly, I didn't think we'd get such a large number of sign-ups so soon.

To speed things up, the birth rate is being increased for now.  We'll probably be seeing a new character being born at least once a day.  I've also cut a month time in half - so a year takes only 6 days instead of 12 days (I've increased the life-expectancy as well to compensate).  I think characters will find a reasonable RP reason for birth rates, and also when the rates decrease later on.

There are a couple other things that I am doing as well, that I'm keeping secret for now too.  So a lot of the math calculations about how many months it's going to take, is inaccurate.

About how long will it take with the current system for a child to grow up to an adult? Just thinking, for math purposes.

It takes 108 days for a new born baby to reach age 18.

any guessing at growth rates and birth times is now pointless. Lumin is reworking time in-game, and it might change as the game develop. the key point is that Lumin will make the wisest choice to keep the game stable, while providing satisfaction for the player base.  Grin

Just saying what's is truth at the moment with the knowledge that Lumin has given us about it. And I'm also guessing that 18 is the point a human reaches adulthood.

In reality I think 14 is more of a mark of passing into adulthood.  Our society and culture has changed the age we deem a child to be responsible enough to care for himself.  While you will not have reached your peak physical prowess, you are capable of starting a family at this age.

Adulthood is about the same as real life.  The age for getting pregnant is about the same as real life as well, however, that doesn't mean that someone might reach puberty a littler earlier, and concieve earlier as well.
