I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

That we don't need everything covered all the time, just one mod reading through it once a day or so is fine.

I vote that we track down Soulwynd and tie him up in the basement with a computer in front of him that only allows him to view the FTO Forums.

Oh.  Thanks for explaining.  It's a hefty job for just one mod, though.  A single inflammatory thread can grow many pages in just a few hours, and unless the forum mod has absolutely no life, no friends, no significant other, no work, and no school, they aren't going to be able to warn people or shut down threads before they get out of hand.

Of course it's up to Lumin, but if it were my forum I think I'd be looking for at least three forum moderators, that way no forum mod has to spend a large amount of time reading every thread just to make sure things are okay.

Plus, I've seen quite a few inappropriate posts by the "Content Department" people.  Things that might reflect negatively on Lumin or the game simply because they have that badge.  A single moderator could be the same, but a moderator team might compose themselves better, which in turn would mean Lumin wouldn't have to constantly watch over the mod's shoulder to make sure the mods aren't doing things that would reflect on him or drive off players.

Having been a member of many forums for the last 14 years or so, I've seen the havoc a bad mod on a powertrip can do.   Wink

Okay, I've come to a decision for those whom will fill these positions.  They will be notified shortly.

There is no contract or obligation to fulfill these jobs.  If a player gets bored or decides to quit, I have no problem with that - I will just find someone else.  Let's please not dwell on one person or another for how they perform their job.

I'd like to get a bit more involved with the game if possible. I had to send a report in earlier, it was answered quickly. Major plus to that, so i'm assuming there are no positions needing to be filled. When the time comes, I'd like to put my name out there as a volunteer.

Hey, that was me who answered that report! Just wanted everyone to know that!

Lumin might want to add another one, though. Someone quit being a Justice Fighter recently.

I wouldn't mind being a forum mod, god knows I'm on the forums enough.
I'm not as neato as Vaylon, or witty as Broose though...

lol Paulie

Anyways, I'd offer to be a GM if it were not for the fact that, at the moment, it appears as if the only thing they're allowed to do is unstick people, and most players still don't even know there's  a report button.

and most players still don't even know there's  a report button.

It really needs to be brought to a better attention. Not stuck in tiny font at the top of the portal screen...

Can it also have it's own hotlink at the bottom of the screen at least?
